Maxwell Maritime

My name is Tyler Maxwell and I will be leading you in both the video modules and private sessions. I have been performing marine surveys nationwide for 7+ years. I am currently working in the Beaumont-Port Arthur, TX area and look forward to a long career in surveying and training others.

I started my surveying career as an 18-year-old, collecting samples and running lab analysis of cargo. I worked to learn draft surveying in my spare time and was certified in 2019. After that certification, I began studying multiple different types of surveys like bunkers, condition, and damage. I became a Certified Marine Surveyor through the National Association of Marine Surveyors at the age of 25. I hope to educate those that were in a situation similar to my own, hungry for knowledge and looking to start a career in a booming industry.

I recognized many others that expressed their desire to learn and grow in the industry; and we all struggled to find access to reliable training resources or experienced surveyors looking to share their knowledge with us. After years of practice and the help of close colleagues, we have built a class that will offer a strong foundation for the next generation of marine surveyors.

Our Mission Is to Empower Others

To become proficient

In recent years, we have noticed a lack of young surveyors and newcomers to the industry. A team of surveyors, with 50+ years experience combined, has come together to make an efficient and effective training course for marine surveys. Draft Surveys are at the heart of our company, as we see it as one of the best starting points for a marine surveyor and a crucial tool to have in their belt.
